Founded in 1959 by the late Ed Tyson, Tyson Building Corporation was purchased by Ben White and Clayton Trapp in 1971. In 1980, Mr. White obtained full ownership of the company, and by 1982, had sales of three million dollars. In January of 1995, C&C Construction merged with Tyson, giving it in-depth expertise in conventional construction and renovation.
With an eye toward the future, Tyson Building Corporation is planning and positioning itself for continued growth in the commercial construction industry.
Tyson Principals
Ben White, President of Tyson Building Corporation, is a graduate of Texas Christian University. His experience in commercial construction since 1959 covers pre-engineered steel buildings, concrete tilt-wall and conventional construction. Mr. White is instrumental in the negotiation of Design-Build contracts for the company.
Dan Covington, Vice President of Tyson Building Corporation and graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington, began his construction career in 1967, and has experiences in all phases of conventional construction.
